The Disability Resource Centre Auckland Inc., along with many other disability and community focused organisations has supported the development of the YES Ability Achievement Centre in Albany (formerly the North Shore LIFE Centre).

The Centre opened in 2006 and provides community based resources and services, including an accessible showhome modelling best practice in design and layout, to the disabled community on the North Shore of Auckland.
