Mobility Scooter Assessments
You may be eligible for a grant for a mobility scooter or powerchair from the Lottery Grants Board. You will need to complete an application pack, which are available from DRC. Contact us
- If your application to the Lottery Grants Board is successful, you will be required to attend an assessment that involves:
- an interview
- a trial of suitable scooters
- training in how to operate and use the scooter
- a home visit to ensure that the scooter is appropriate for your environment
- The DRC�s Assessment Service is experienced in assessing people for mobility scooters and powerchairs for the Lottery Grants Board
- Assessments can also be done for private users wishing to purchase the most suitable scooter for their needs, or receive training with their current or future scooter
