ASSESSMENT SERVICES AT DRC

Mobility Scooter AssessmentsMobility Scooter Assessments

You may be eligible for a grant for a mobility scooter or powerchair from the Lottery Grants Board. You will need to complete an application pack, which are available from DRC. Contact us

  • If your application to the Lottery Grants Board is successful, you will be required to attend an assessment that involves:
     
    • an interview
    • a trial of suitable scooters
    • training in how to operate and use the scooter
    • a home visit to ensure that the scooter is appropriate for your environment
  • The DRC�s Assessment Service is experienced in assessing people for mobility scooters and powerchairs for the Lottery Grants Board
  • Assessments can also be done for private users wishing to purchase the most suitable scooter for their needs, or receive training with their current or future scooter

Barrier Free Audits / Accessibility Audits

  • The DRC has a qualified Barrier Free Advisor in accordance with the NZ Barrier Free Trust
